    BMO Tanghdar organises free medical camp in border area.


    • Today a free medical camp was organised at village Karhama. The team reached at village Seemari in Ambulance. From Seemari to Karhama on ponies upto village Phagwan and then on foot as there was no pony track further.It took 3 hours for the medical team from Seemari to reach Karhama. 203 persons were seen and the patients were given free medicines. The camp was organised by BMO Tanghdar Dr Saleem and his team.




    • New Workstation starts functioning at District Hospital Baramulla


    • MS DH Baramulla Dr Syed Masood & Anaesthesia Department of DH Baramulla is highly thankful to Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman for providing the department new Anesthesia Workstation thereby improving the patient care in OT Department of DH Baramulla.A total of 5 workstations are functional at DH Baramulla currently. First case with new workstation was done today. Patient was anaesthetised by Dr. Ihsanulhaq, Anaesthetist and operated upon by Surgeon Dr. Abdul Majid for Laparascopic cholecystectomy.




    • DHSK conducts two day extensive tour of North Kashmir


    • Director Health Services,Kashmir(DHSK) Dr Saleem ur Rehman after attending the District Development Board meeting of Baramulla yesterday started a detailed supervisory tour of various health institutes of North Kashmir. The Director first visited District Hospital Baramulla wherein MS DH Baramulla apprised him about functioning of health care services being rendered to the patients.He inspected various sections of the hospital including gynae and emergency section.On the same day he visited PHC Ladoora, PHC Rohama,PHC Dangiwacha(District Baramulla), CHC Langate,PHC Wadipora,CHC Zachaldara,CHC Vilgam,CHC Kralpora(District Kupwara).He reviewed the working of these institutions and directed the concerned BMOs to improve the functioning of these institutions.DHSK assured all possible help to upgrade the working of these institutions.He also visited under construction building of PHC Dangiwacha and Trauma Hospital Watergam.The Director was accompanied by CMO Baramulla Dr. Bashir Ahmed Chalkoo,CMO Kupwara Dr Zakir Hussain Khan,Dr.Mushtaq Divisional Nodal Officer NHM and the concerned Block Medical Officers.During his visit he interacted with patients and attendants and took feedback regarding the health care services being rendered. Continuing its visit today the Director inspected SDH Kupwara along with its associated under construction new block,CHC Chogul and AMT School Kupwara wherein he was accompanied by all District Health Administrators.Besides taking stock of health care services in these institutes he interacted with faculty and students of AMT School Kupwara also. Later prominent dignitaries of Kupwara had a detailed meeting with Director where he was apprised of various health related issues of which DHSK has assured of early intervention.




    • DHSK officials conducts supervisory tour Deputy Director Headquarter Dr Kunzes Dolma and Divisional Nodal Officer Dr Abida Kawoosa today conducted a supervisory visit of District Hospital Pulwama and SDH Pampore during evening hours to take stock of health care services being rendered to the patients.The officials also interacted with patients, attendants and medica staff on duty




    • Laparascopic Orchidopexy conducted in Police Hospital Srinagar


    • Laparascopic Orchidopexy is one of the advanced procedures in Laparo Surgery.Surgical team of Police Hospital Srinagar comprising of Dr. Irshad A. Kuchay, Surgeon Specialist,Dr. Baljeet Anaesthetist and supporting OT staff on 13.03.2017 performed this advanced procedure successfully on a 16 year old boy.




    • One day training programme conducted for staff nurses and pharmacists


    • On 6th, 7th, and 8th of March 2017, training of staff nurses and pharmacists belonging to department of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir(DHSK) received training in NCD prevention and management. Each training session was interactive and exercises were given to participants followed by group discussion. Resource Persons for the trainings were Dr SM Kadri, Dr Shanawaz,Dr Rehana Kausar and Dr Noor Anjum. Topics covered during the programme included included hypertension, diabetes, breast cancer and prevention strategies.




    • DHSK on late evening Kupwara tour


    • Director Health Services,Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman after completing the tour of Baramulla today reached Kupwara to take stock of health care services.The Director visited CHC Langate,PHC Wadipora,CHC Zachaldara,CHC Vilgam and CHC Kralpora.He also interacted with patients and the attendants. DHSK was accompanied by CMO Kupwara Dr Zakir along with other District Health Officials.

    • Director Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) Dr.Saleem ur Rehman visited various health institutions of District Baramulla today to take stock of health care services in the district.Earlier he visited DH Baramulla where he was apprised by MS DH Baramulla Dr Syed Masood about health functioning of the hospital.Later he visited PHC Ladoora, Block Sopore, PHC Rohama, Block Rohama and PHC Dangiwacha Block Dangiwacha.He reviewed the functioning of these health institutes and directed the concerned BMOs to improve the functioning for better patient care.     • DHSK conducts training programme on postmortem


    • A one day training program for medical officers on postmortem was conducted at Division of Epidemiology and Public Health Building Barzulla,Srinagar as on 28/02/2017 by Division of Epidemiology & Public Health (DEPH) under the aegis of Directorate of Health Services,Kashmir(DHSK). Resource Persons included Dr Nasti Zahid and Dr Shah Moamar. Medical officers from all districts attended the training program The training programme was organised by Epidemiologist Kashmir,Dr Rehana Kausar.




    • CMO Srinagar organises screening camp - 193 persons screened


    • Screening cum Awareness Camp was organised by CMO Srinagar under the aegis of Directorate Of Health Services,Kashmir(DHSK) as on 18/02/2017 at Chatterhama Srinagar.During the camp around 193 persons were screened for Diabetes & Hypertension by a team of Doctors from District Srinagar and NCD Unit Srinagar. Out of 193 persons screened 13 persons were diabetic in which 05 were known cases and 08 newly diagnosed for suspected diabetes and 41 persons were found hypertensive in which 32 were known cases and 09 newly diagnosed.
